Conference Theme
The choice of the ICTPI Greece 2006 theme, “Science, Society and Sustainability”
was based on the outcomes of the recent national Technology Foresight (TF) exercise
(Greece 2001-2021), emphasizing these three key factors and their interactions
as critical for the emergence of a knowledge-based economy and society (http://www.foresight-gsrt.gr/).
The “Greece 2006” conference, which will be organized by the
National Observatory of the Knowledge Society “DELPHI-21” - a follow-up of the
Greek TF program, is expected to benefit from the future-oriented character
and momentum of the national organizers.
In addition to this central theme, the organizers have defined a number of
specific topics, which are being suggested to prospective authors (see Call
for Papers).
