Call for Papers - Main Topics
Interested authors are invited to electronically submit, by March 15,
2006, 1-page abstracts of papers to be presented at the “Greece
2006” Conference, using the corresponding forms, attached to this Announcement.
The Paper Submission
Forms should be submitted to the National Organizing Committee, preferably
through the conference website.
Papers addressing various points and views of the emerging “Science
- Society - Sustainability” landscape, and their implications
for Technology Policy and Innovation, are particularly welcome.
In addition, the organizers have defined a number of specific topics, which
are also being suggested, as addressing critical aspects of the central conference
theme:
I. |
Regional dimension (knowledge areas) |
II. |
Foresight and dynamics of change (case histories, forward
studies) |
III. |
Critical infrastructures, institutions, and incentives |
IV. |
Governance (with a special focus on “transition economies”) |
V. |
Cultures, values and images |
Two presentation formats will be used for the accepted papers, i.e., oral
and visual (posters). Authors can indicate their preference
upon submission of their Paper Submission Form, but the final decision on the
most appropriate format for each paper will be taken by the organizers upon
acceptance, i.e., the latest by March 30, 2006.
Detailed guidelines on the presentation of their papers will be sent to the
authors by April 15, 2006.
The authors of all papers accepted for presentation are strongly encouraged
by the organizers to submit to the Secretariat full manuscripts of their papers
by the time of the conference in order to facilitate the publication of the
proceedings.
The organizers strongly encourage early submission of titles and abstracts,
stressing that the above dates represent ultimate deadlines for action by the
parties concerned.
