Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the organization of the 9th International Conference on Technology Policy and Innovation (ICTPI), which will be held in Greece, on the island of Santorini (Thera), from Sunday, June 18, to Wednesday, June 21, 2006.

As with all previous conferences of the ICTPI series, the “Greece 2006” event represents a unique combination of actors and factors. These include

• An experienced and dynamic International Organizing Committee, recently enriched after its “Lodz 2005” success (i.e., the 8th ICTPI);
  
• The momentum of a recent, high-profile, technology policy-related exercise fuelling the efforts of the National Organizers;
  
• A choice of conference theme and topics reflecting such a fertile encounter of forces; and, last but not least,
  
• A special location and venue aiming at a high level of creativity and inspiration during the meeting.
